Weight Watchers Advice Needed

So I have not felt very good about myself for a little bit. I've been working out with a trainer to get on a workout schedule. When I Stepped on the scale last week the number staring back at me was more than a bit of a shock to me. My pants are not tight just feeling a little snug. I know that there are a lot of bloggers out there who have either tried weight watchers, are currently on the program or have done it in the past. I need your help!!! I'm wanting to lose about 10-12lbs and not sure if weight watchers is the way to go or if I should just put my running shoes back on and hit the pavement. The second part of this is I want to get the weight off very quick, but only in a healthy way. There is a great deal of potential that we will be deciding to start a family sooner than later. At this point I can't think about gaining any additional weight until I get these few pounds off.

These are my questions about Weight Watchers
Is the weight watchers program easy to follow? I'm on the road constantly during the day and eat fairly healthy already. More about the portion control for me if I'm honest. What are some of the positives/negatives of the ww way? Is it better to sign up for online access or meetings? I'm not sure if I can go to meetings due to my schedule, but if push came to shove I could do it.

Please give Stylish Suburban your honest thoughts and advice....

It's simple. You can eat whatever you want, but you DO have to measure it and you have to write it all down. I'm terrible about writing it down. I did so well in the beginning and I've just kind of lost it. I missed my meeting last week because I was out of town and I'm TERRIFIED to go tomorrow. You HAVE to go to the meetings. The fact that someone else is looking at the number and knows if I gain weight is enough to make me think about what I eat during the week. They have meetings at SO many different times that I know you can find one day of the week with a time that works for you.

I have been doing WW for about two months now - I really like it. Of course, the kicker is that I really haven't lost any weight. I, too, only want to lose about 10-15 pounds. And at WW, they say that "the last 10-15 pounds is always the hardest to lose." What about when it's your first AND last 10-15 pounds??!!! :) I don't think it's that hard to count points - they give you a pretty easy guide, etc. And I think it's a lot easier to buy the WW lunches to take to work, etc, so that you can be absolutely sure about how many points you consume. I have written a few posts about WW - you can check them out on my blog!

Good luck! And don't hesitate to email or comment for more info.

I did WW a couple of years ago online and couldnt stick to it. After that I joined www.sparkpeople.com and absolutly loved it. I lost 20 lbs and then I found out I was pregnant.

But it teaches you life style changes, how to eat better, what to eat, how much to eat, all about exercise, recipes, etc. It's great.

The website is huge and there is so much support on it...the best part is that it is FREE!

weight watchers is very healthy because you eat what you want to eat and it's all about portion control. the biggest thing is keeping up with it and writing everything down. if you don't keep track you run the risk of going over your points. weight watchers worked for me and i'm going to do it again when i have the baby. you can combine weight watchers with exercise and do great!

Hey, I actually don't know too much about WW...but I just now saw your question on my blog about P90X, so I wanted to write back!!
I think P90X is a pretty hardcore workout regime, and for me it gets a little boring to do every day (especially when the weather's pretty outside!) So, Mr and I have been "customizing" the program! Not sure if it's the right way to go about it, but it's definitely good every other day with jogs outside, etc on the other days. :) Anyway, thank you for stopping by my blog! I LOVE yours!!
