Long time without a post, but I promise I have a really really good excuse.
Mr. SS and I will be adding to our Stylish family with a little baby!!!
WE ARE SO EXCITED I can't even begin to tell you all. Things have been a little rough I've been really really sick and nothing make me feel better. Also I've had some bleeding so I'm being watched very closely by my Dr. and have been told to rest as much as possible. A very hard thing to do for a busy body like myself.
Please pray for us over the next few weeks that we get through this rough patch and continue to grow a healthy baby.
*******Also if you have any tips for the nausea please please share with me!!!
Again sorry for the lack of posts. I know a couple bloggers have asked me if I ever joined WW and the answer is no. I found out I was pregnant around the time I was going to join. These past few weeks I have been losing weight so for once I am hoping to stop and hold tight where I am.
Please forgive me if I don't post regularly for the next few weeks. I'm still trying to read all of your blogs just not commenting much.
We didn’t know how good we had it.

Congratulations! How exciting! You are in my thoughts and prayers!
Congrats! Sending you healthy T & P! (Thoughts & Prayers) :o)
Congrats! How exciting! Hope you're feeling better soon. My mother said that the sickness passes. She would eat saltines!
Congratulations!
I knew an Indian woman who had horrible nausia with her pregnancy and her mother, an old-school Indian lady gave her an old fashioned remedy that worked... Lemonade with ginger in it. (apparently ginger ale has the same effect) Anyway, she was carrying this stuff around in a waterbottle sucking on it all day long cause it worked!!! Good luck!
Congrats on the news!!
Congratulations! This is so exciting!!!
Many congratulations to you and your husband. A baby is an amazing blessing and I am so happy for you! As a previous poster suggested, ginger is supposed to be great for nausea, but if that doesn't help and you are vommitting more than once a day, I would ask your doctor for zofran. It's a miracle drug, I swear! It can be administered in a pill, a disolvable tablet, or a suppository (if you really can't keep anything down).
Since you are supposed to be resting, a few books that I enjoyed are
The Gueneviere Trilogy by Rosalind Miles
Last Days of Summer by Steve Kluger
Time Travelers Wife
Any of Jen Lancaster's books (funny!)
Julie and Julia
Bringing Home the Birkin (just finished)
Anything by Jodi Picoult
The Shack
Also, maybe now is the time to learn to sew or embroider? Can you imagine all the adorable clothes you could make for your new child?
I'm not a frequent commenter, but I just wanted to say a huge congrats to you and your husband! What a special time it is. I will keep my fingers crossed that all goes smoothly.
As for morning sickness, I can relate. My first 16 weeks of this pregnancy were spent standing over the sink and toilet most days. It was awful. The doctor can prescribe a morning sickness pill if it's really bad. Also, some prenatal vitamins are supposed to be anti-nausea. My doc also said Vitamin B can help (just buy a bottle and take an extra vitamin with your prenatal - ask your doc). And candied ginger can help. Most ginger ales on the market now have no actual ginger in them, just fake ginger flavor.
Good luck!!
Congrats to SS and Hubby! P.S. - Me too girl! I'm due with baby #2 on Christmas Eve, what about you?
Yay, so excited for you! Congrats! Can't wait to follow you on your journey to mommyhood :)
Congrats!! Ginger helps with nausea...crystalized ginger chews are cool, ginger tea and a tea called "Mother to Be Tea". You can get this all at Whole Foods. I'm a seasoned mom of three...let me know if I can ever be of any help.
