One of my morning routines is to have the Today Show on in the background as I'm getting ready for work. A couple mornings ago they began talking about the dreaded topic of new years resolutions and how so many people fail on their resolutions and how instead we should make a motto for the year...a motto to live 2009 by.
I personally never make New Year's resolutions, they are just not my thing. I try to exercise, be healthier, spend less on clothes, shoes, handbags that I really don't need but want, and lastly the most important be a better wife, daughter, sister, and friend every year. But I really got thinking about living by a motto for a whole year, something I really could stick to and not let fall by the wayside.
My motto is to live a year without any Woulda-Coulda-Shouldas.
To be honest I am a guilty person always thinking I didn't do enough whether for someone/something, personal/professionally, always thinking to myself maybe if I just would have given a little more....In thinking back I find myself replaying conversations and how I always think if I would have/could have/should have done something other than what I did. In the end everything always turns out the way it is supposed to or at least that's what I believe "everything happens for a reason." So whenever a road block gets in my way this year I will simply think of this new motto of mine and will get going!
I actually already have something in the works to make quite a life change.... :)
We didn’t know how good we had it.

Welcome to the blogging world. I love your blog header - very cute!
I just found your blog through Newlywed Stilettos - super cute!
I don't really make New Year's resolutions either, but I do try to focus on things that I can improve on in my life/marriage/etc.
I think women in general tend to be guilty of second guessing our decisions - your Woulda-Coulda-Shouldas.
PS: I listen to the Today show in the morning too!
